Sep 07, 20234 teens hurt after crashed into tree on Detroit’s eastside
DETROIT (WWJ) - Four teenagers were hurt -- with one sustaining critical injuries -- after their vehicle crashed into a tree in Detroit early Thursday morning, police confirmed.
Detroit Police Cpl. Dan Donakowski told WWJ that the collision occurred around 3:13 a.m. on Audubon Road near East Outer Drive on the city's eastside.
According to Donakowski, four teens, two males and two females, were in the car when it left the road and rammed into a tree.
One girl or woman sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. The other three occupants are said to be in stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the the crash and what led to the car going off the road. It remains unclear if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors in the incident.
No other details were released at this time.
