We were thrilled to hold our second ever Branches Awards Ceremony on 7 June, to close Volunteers’ Week. The event shone a spotlight on our branch volunteers across the UK, celebrating their amazing achievements and the huge impact they continue to have by transforming lives and changing attitudes about autism, both within their local areas and online.
The ceremony was hosted by our Chief Executive, Caroline Stevens, our Branches team, and our Chair of Trustees, Stephen Ladyman, and celebrated some amazing achievements of both the finalists and winners.
Our charity has a network of volunteer-led branches across the UK. All our branches are made up of volunteers, parents and carers, and autistic people who are committed to transforming attitudes and changing lives in their communities. Each branch has a different focus, but generally they offer information, support and social activities for autistic adults, children and families in their local area. We also have online branches for autistic people with a shared interest, identity or experience.
Thank you to all our volunteers, who give so much. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and, of course, to our award winners.
You can find out more about our charity's branches on our website.
