Sep 07, 2023China Lights lantern festival extended through Nov. 2
The popular China Lights lantern display and festival has been extended through Nov. 2, according to a statement from collaborators Milwaukee County Parks and Tianyu Arts and Culture.
During China Lights, more than 40 light displays illuminate Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive, Hales Corners, in the northeast corner of Whitnall Park. The 2024 show celebrates the Year of the Dragon, saluting a traditional symbol of good fortune in the Chinese zodiac.
Festival admission is through timed-entry tickets for periods that begin at 5, 6:30 and 8 p.m. nightly. Ticket prices for Tuesdays through Thursdays and Sundays are $23 general admission, $16 for children ages 3 through 11; tickets for Fridays and Saturdays are $28 general admission, $18 for children ages 3 through 11. Younger children are admitted free.
The festival also includes stage performances about 25 minutes long at 6, 7 and 8:30 p.m. nightly.
