Construction will begin after the new bridge is completed later this year. The town of North Carrollton has been approved in the amount for $357,084 in Federal Transportation Alternative (TA) Program to construct the park which will be the largest investment for recreation in modern times for North Carrollton with municipal and county leaders working together to get the funding. The project calls for a recreational area, including, a concrete pad, benches, picnic table, restrooms that will be in compliance with the American Disabilities Act, bicycle rack, handicap parking, decorative lighting, and trash receptacles.
