Join us for a festive evening filled with holiday cheer! The celebration kicks off with live-streamed holiday music from KLWN AM 1320 and FM 101.7, starting at 5:30 PM. Tune in to the live broadcast.

The main ceremony begins at 6:00 PM, featuring a countdown and the official lighting of the Downtown Christmas lights, led by a City representative and Kim Murphree from KLWN’s According to the Record. Be sure to keep an eye on the roof of Weaver’s Department Store for a special Santa sighting! No need to worry—Lawrence Douglas County Fire & Medical will be on hand with a ladder truck to help Santa safely down from the rooftop.

Don’t forget to have the kids write their letters to Santa! You can bring them along or visit Santa’s Elf Tent to write one on-site. All letters will be collected and sent straight to the North Pole! Pro tip: Include a return address to receive a personalized reply from Santa himself.
