Lights Up lantern festival returns to central Pa. casino - pennlive.com

The Night Lights Sky Lantern Festival comes to the Hollywood Casino in Grantville on Nov. 4.

For the second year in a row, Central Pa. residents can participate in the ancient Chinese tradition of lighting Kongming lanterns.

The Night Lights Lantern Festival will take place from 2-9 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Hollywood Casino,777 Hollywood Blvd, Grantville. The festival will include food vendors and live music before the official lantern sendoff later that night.

Vice President and General Manager of Hollywood Casino, Tony Frabbiele, stated via a press release that the casino is excited to bring this opportunity to the community for a second year in a row.

“We are thrilled to host this truly unique event at Hollywood Casino again,” stated Frabbiele. “We want to create experiences where guests feel uplifted and connected, especially if there is a memory or milestone they wish to commemorate. The release of the sky lanterns will hold a lot of meaning for people, and we can’t wait to see the community come together for this special night.”

Tickets for the festival are $44 if bought in advance and $74 at the door. Anyone attending the event who is 7+ must purchase a ticket. Parking for the event is included in the ticket price, as well as a lantern kit.

Gates will open at 2 p.m. so attendees can enjoy the other activities before the lantern release, which will take place after sunset.
